National Development and Reform Commission: Energy and Power Supply of Five Provinces in China Southern Power Grid are stable
In order to deeply implement the serial decisions made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Strengthening Energy and PowerSupply, the National Development and Reform Commission has strengthened coordination, communicated to dispatch by province, continuously followed up and monitored progress in key tasks, actively coordinated and solved problems and difficulties reported by local governments, and achieved staged results in energy supply assurance.
The power supply of Five provinces (Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan) within the southern power grid has been maintained stable. nearly 200 million tons medium and long-term coal contract has been signed in 2021, achieving full coverage of the coal required for power generation and steam supply. The average available days of coal storage in the power plant are over 20 days and over 30 days in Guangxi and Guizhou. The scale of unscheduled outages and blocked output units is lower than that of previous years, the output level of coal-fired units is effectively increased which guaranteed the power supply and laid a solid foundation for the local economic and social development.
In the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will continue to guide and urge local authorities to increase coal production and supply, improve coal storage level, and increase the output of generating units, so as to ensure a stable and orderly supply of energy and power.
