    On January 21, 2021, China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Association (shorted as CEPPEA) organized a kick-off online meeting for the 2020 statistical information filling of the electric power survey and design industry. Members of the Statistics Committee, specially invited experts, and personnel from CEPPEA Business Coordination Department attended the meeting. Gao Hong, the deputy secretary-general of CEPPEA, and Ma Hong, the former deputy secretary-general, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

    Gao Hong affirmed the work results of the Statistics Committee in the past year and expressed his gratitude to the members of the Statistics Committee for their support to the statistical information filling work. He put forward several requirements for this year’s statistical information filling work: the Statistics Committee should continue to upgrade the statistical information management system to improve the quality and efficiency of statistical work; the industry statistical information filling work of this year should be on track as planned, and flexibly adjust working methods according to the needs of COVID-19 prevention and control; the Statistics Committee should mobilize member units to actively participate in the filling work to make industry statistical data more authoritative.

    At this meeting, a brief introduction to the work plan was given for this year's statistical information filling, including the arrangement of work schedule and the grouping of members of the Statistics Committee by region. The teams are required to complete the review of the filling data with high quality and efficiency under the leadership of the team leader, so that the Statistics Committee can play a greater role in industry statistical analysis and benchmarking. The regional team leaders then put forward review work requirements and specific precautions.

    In addition, in accordance with the agenda, the meeting deliberated and approved the proposal of adding 3 members and changing 2 members of the Statistics Committee.

    Finally, Ma Hong, the former deputy secretary-general of the CEPPEA, made a summary of the meeting. He praised appreciation for the results of the meeting, emphasized the importance of statistical work in understanding industry conditions and guiding industry work, and affirmed the quality of the work results of the Statistics committee in recent years. CEPPEA will continue to support the work of the Statistics committee in coordination, and hope the information filling work of 2020 annual statistical report and benchmarking on the electric power survey and engineering industry would be completed efficiently and successfully.
