    On November 8，“Top 80 Chinese Contractors and Top 60 Chinese Engineering Design Enterprises” awards ceremony was held in Nanchang by Engineering News Record (ENR) and Construction Times. Electric  engineering industry 18 enterprises topped 2018 “top 60 Chinese engineering design enterprises” list and 5 enterprises topped 2018 “Top 80 Chinese Contractors” list. China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd, Huadong Engineering Corp.,Ltd. of China Power Construction Group, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co.,Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co.,Ltd. of China Energy Engineering Group topped both two lists. What’s more, China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd and Huadong Engineering Corp.,Ltd. of China Power Construction Group were awarded “China Construction Industry Pioneer”.

    These lists were mainly based on the ranking of operating revenue in engineering contracting and design in the year of 2017. Therefore, the characteristics and development tendency of Chinese engineering industry were embodied in the “new normal” economy from this list. Because these two mainstream media are authoritative in the construction industry of China and the United States, these lists, which have become the significant  indicator in the rapid development of Chinese construction industry, with the social credibility have been widely accepted. All previous sessions lists were recorded in the industry development report by national authorities. The year of 2018 is the fifteenth year of the establishment of ENR lists. Construction Times awarded 20 enterprises “China Construction Industry Pioneer” who are at the forefront of the industry according to the fifteen lists.

    The year of 2018 is the 40^th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up and is also the start of  learning the spirit of the 19^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. 18 enterprises’ topping 2018 “top 60 Chinese engineering design enterprises” list was the affirmation to the tremendous strength and market position of electric survey and design industry in China which promoted the reform and transformation for enterprises to achieve high quality development.
