Domestic CAD Software Industry Applicability Planning Discussion Meeting Held in Changsha 发布时间:2018-07-05 浏览次数:3003

    On June 12, 2018, China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Association (CEPPEA) held a meeting on the overall industry applicability planning of the domestic CAD software in Changsha. The participating units include: 44 Chairman and member companies, 3 domestic CAD software companies and 8 related software companies popular in the industry. 

    The meeting was chaired by Guo Yali, deputy secretary-general of CEPPEA, and Zhang Xianjun and Li Shoumin, the deputy directors of the CEPPEA’s Information Technology Committee separately. Li Aimin, deputy president and secretary-general of the association, Zhou Xinjun, director of the Electric Power Survey and Design Division of Power China Ltd., and president assistant of the association and director of the standardization management department, Hao Shijie, attended the meeting. Li Aimin said that in 2009, CEPPEA initiated the localization of CAD software in the electric power industry. However, it did not achieve the desired effect as was constrained by the market conditions and the economic and technological strength of domestic software companies at that time. Presently, CEPPEA restarts this work based on three major factors: firstly, under the current international situation, the state calls for accelerating the formation of independent controllable technologies and increasing the core technology research and development; secondly, the electric power industry is urgent to solve the relatively unfavorable single supply situation of CAD software; thirdly, the domestic CAD software has achieved leapfrog development in technology, andthe market share is also increasing year by year. The new situation brings new opportunities. It is hoped that the domestic CAD software companies and the related companies who developed software on CAD platform will solve the interface problem with the help of CEPPEA members, and will make a high degree of convergence with the needs of the electric power design industry to get a leap in value. it is also important for informatization work to adapt to the new situation and to provide safer and more economical software solutions to the enterprises with an open mind.

CEPPEA and the domestic CAD software companies will sign strategic cooperation agreement to promote the localization process of CAD software.

    This meeting will be a milestone in the development of domestic CAD software.
