    On December 30, 2016, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China (MOHURD) announced the national engineering survey and design master list by releasing “Notice on the 8^th batch of national engineering survey and design master list". After the procedure of declaration, preliminary evaluation, comprehensive selection, publicity and MOHURD standing committee’s approval, a total of 69 people were elected, including 6 senior experts in the electric power survey and design industry as follows.

    1. Wang Renkun - from Chengdu Engineering Corp., Ltd. of China Power Construction Group

    2. Zhu Jun - from Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group

    3. Yang Zeyan - from China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd

    4. Chen Mao - from State Nuclear Electric Power Planning Design & Research Institute Co., LTD.

    5. Guo Xiaoke- from Northeast Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group

    6. Liang Zhengping - from Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute

    Selected every two years, “national engineering survey and design master” is a national honorary title for the Chinese engineering survey and design industry. With solid theoretical foundation and rich practical experience, the “masters” are also supposed to present outstanding achievements in the special field of engineering survey and design, and enjoy high reputation both at home and abroad.

    Hopefully that the technicians in electric power industry will further implement actively the spirit of the Central Urban Work Conference，practice the construction policy of “Applicable, economical, green and artistic”, and continuously improve the level of engineering survey and design in China to make further achievements in the process of the New Urbanization Construction and the comprehensive building of a moderately prosperous society.
