The National Energy Administration issued the National Electric Power Industry Statistics from January to April
On May 17th, the National Energy Administration issued the National Electric Power Industry Statistics from January to April. By the end of April, the installed capacity of power generation in China was about 2.41 billion kilowatts, which increased 7.9% from year earlier. Specifically, the installed capacity of wind power generation increased by 17.7% to about 340 million kW. The installed capacity of solar power generation increased by 23.6% to about 320 million kW.
From January to April, the average utilization of power generation equipment in China was 1,176 hours, 41 hours less than the same period of last year. Specifically, the utilization of thermal power was 1,417 hours, 51 hours less than the same period of last year. The utilization of nuclear power was 2,447 hours, 4 hours less than the same period of last year. The utilization of wind power was 778 hours, 45 hours less than the same period of last year.
From January to April, the investment in power supply projects from major power generation companies in China was 117.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%, including 29 billion yuan investment in solar power generation, a year-on-year increase of 204.1% and 89.3 billion yuan investment in the power grid project, up 4.7% year-on-year.
