Business introduction
Founded in 1985, China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Association (hereinafter referred to as “CEPPEA”) is a self-regulatory and non-profit country-wide organization having legal capacity, with the voluntary membership consisting of enterprises and institutions across the country which are engaged in electric power planning, survey and engineering, project EPC services, project management as well as engineering consultation.
Business scope
1）To Conduct policy research, reflect demands of members to the relevant government departments, and put forward relevant proposals to safeguard the legitimate interests of its members;
2）To develop and supervise the implementation of the self-regulation industry convention, coordinate price dispute, safeguard the common market resources, regulate behaviors of the members according to the relevant laws and regulations with consideration of the characteristics of the industry;
3）To be responsible for the National Survey & Design Registered Electrical Engineer qualification examination proposition and registration management entrusted by the government;
4）To undertake the pressure pipe design qualification evaluation to electric power industry enterprises commissioned by the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P. R. C.;
5）To organize appraisal of outstanding achievements on supervision, design, software, and typical design in the scope of industry;
6）To organize evaluation of outstanding engineering consultingachievements in the scope of electric power industry;
7）To carry outstatistics and data comparisons in the scope of electric power industry and release the related data;
8）To organize electric power designenterprise credit rating;
9）To organize electric power survey and design enterprises to cover the project design liability insurance;
10）To promote internationalization of the Chinese electric power engineering standards;
11）To promote and guide the implementation of the standards of GB/T19001-IS09001,GB/T24001-IS014001,GB/T28001—OHSAS18001,etc.;
12）To organize power survey and design industry technical knowhow evaluation, promote marketing of knowhow, and protect intellectual property;
13）To organize information and experience exchange on techniques, business management and other aspects;
14）To organize domestic and overseas economic and technological exchange and cooperation, organize professional training;
15）To edit and publish "Electric Power Survey & Design", "Electric Power Design Information" and other publications of the industry, and organize electric power industry reporters and correspondents for publicity activities;
Adhering to the principle of "providing services, reflecting demands, regulating behaviors, developing harmoniously”, CEPPEA has played actively the role of bridge between government and enterprises in efforts to strengthen industry self-regulation and provide better services, and has won the titles of “An Outstanding Industrial Association” awarded by the State Economic and Trade Commission of the People’s Republic of China and “An Outstanding Association within China Survey and Design Industry”by China Exploration & Design Association.
